Abune Musie, the bishop of Emdibir diocese of Ethiopia, invited us to take up the mission in the oriental rite of Ethiopia. We are the first orientals taking up another oriental Mission. We are asked to manage a Technical School, Agricultural College and Parishes. For pastoral care we have to learn the national language of Ethiopia, Amharic. Fr.James Aerthayil, the Provincial and Fr.Joyce Aryasseril, the mission councillor will be visiting Ethiopia in December to complete the eclesial formalities. |
AUSTRALIA
Rev.Frs. Joshy Kaithakulangara, Ephrem Thadathil and Augustine Thengumpally are selected to be sent to the Bathurst Diocese near Sydney in Australia. Bp. Patrick Dougherty has cordially invited us to do pastoral work in his Diocese. The diocese of Bathurst lacks enough parish priests. |
